I am a  computer consultant with 35+ years experience in the computer hardware, software, programming and systems development.

Activities include analysis, design, development, programming, networking, installation, training, modification and repair of both software and hardware for home and business applications.

IT History

My career started in 1964 when I became a civilian programmer for the Department of the Army.

I worked for the Army in several locations before leaving the Army and joining the City of Sacramento as their first ever Systems Analyst.  

I designed all of the City’s first computerized programs.  After 2 years in that position, I was promoted to be the City’s Director of Data Processing.

1959 - 1962  Army Veteran

1964 civilian programmer for the Department of the Army.

1966 System Analyst City of Sacramento.

1968 Director of Data Processing, City of Sacramento.

1987 started Jim Puthuff & Associates.
